No Sleaze
We don’t do sleaze or embarrassment. We want the volunteers to come back and do it again. We want the audience to leave thinking that maybe next time they’ll come up on stage with us. So we make it fun, not creepy.
It seems that many people are put off when they see some dodgy hypnotist being rude to their guests, or getting them to do
things that they’ll surely later regret. There are abundant opportunities for cheap shots, and more than once I have had people suggest to me that I should get my volunteers to do something “adult”. But these suggestions are always from someone who wants a cheap laugh at the expense of others.
If that is what you want, then I am not the entertainer you are looking for.
I call those cheap laughs “burning the crowd”, because neither the volunteers nor the audience will feel good afterwards, nor will they seek you out to come again and again. It is neither fulfilling nor good business. It is the low road.
